Joseph Novack Academy parents/ residential treatment staff will recognize how important they are in their child’s education by being involved with the school. They will work as partners with teachers and administrators to share the responsibilities and expectations of supporting academic and behavioral goals. Joseph Novack Academy Transition Class Statement Joseph Novack Academy is proud to introduce the addition of a transitional class to our campus. This classroom will help facilitate a successful transition for students who are working toward placement back into public school. Students who participate in this class, will work to further develop and fine tune appropriate behavior, not only with the goal of transitioning back to a public campus, but also acquiring additional skills that will help them successfully live with peers and adults in society. The additional enrichment skills the students receive will serve as another step that Joseph Novack Academy can utilize to help students work toward functioning at their optimum level. Building self esteem, solving everyday problems, engaging in hands on projects, and exposing the students to careers, are just some of the ways that the transitional class will help these students strive toward their goal. These students will work closely with one another and also collaborate with various professional staff in order to acquire the additional support they need to become successful citizens.
