The Grace Bishop Memorial Fund was established in 1998 in memory of Grace Bishop, who was one of the original founding members of the Creative Alternatives Board of Directors. Scholarships are awarded to qualifying candidates from the Creative Alternatives Group Home Program, Foster Family Program, and Nonpublic Schools.
A committee of program directors and social workers reviews applications submitted by candidates to determine the scholarships to be awarded. Interviews are held in April and scholarships are awarded at a special ceremony in May.
To Qualify:
- The candidate must have been in the program for at least a school year.
- The candidate must be exiting on good terms.
- The candidate will be emancipated from the system.
